The S-Shield bandana scarf mask is a lightweight bandit-style respirator mask. It breathes well and is perfectly designed for outdoor adventures. It is equipped with an adjustable nose clip and a filter pocket that holds its NANO fiber membrane which filters out 96.9% of bacteria and viruses. The Nano filter also blocks out PM2.5 and PM2.1 air pollution particles. Those are the nasty ones which are known to be most damaging to the lungs. The S-Shield NANO mask is also ideal for protection against pollen, smog and allergens. The bandana scarf mask itself is made of 100% cotton, and can be machine washed. Note that the NANO filter should be removed from the S-shield before washing.

The S-Shield’s νᾶνος brand NANO-fiber membrane filters are more thickly woven than standard filters (60g/m2 meltblown). They provide a much much higher filtration efficiency while retaining very good breathability. The filter efficacy 96.9 % means it is almost as good as FFP3/N100-level filtration. NANO fibers are water-wicking, so you can keep the filter in your mask and wear it all day without it becoming wet and soggy. However, do note that for highest filter efficacy, the filter should be changed out after each 8-10 hours of use, or each day. The S-shield comes with 3 filters; one already in the mask, and also 2 replacement filters that can be easily inserted. Additional νᾶνος NANO filters are available in packs of 10pc.
