The S-Shield bandana scarf is made of 100% cotton, is super lightweight, and can be machine washed in lukewarm water. Note that the NANO membrane should be removed from the S-shield before washing.

NANO fibers are water-wicking, so you can keep the membrane in your mask and wear it all day without it becoming wet and soggy. However, do note that for best performance, the membrane should be changed out after each 8-10 hours of use, or if you wear it all day long, change it out at the end of each day. The S-shield comes with 3 NANO membranes; one already in the bandana pocket, and also two replacement Nano membranes that can be easily inserted.
